Complex Care Assistant – Spinal Cord Injury Support

About the Role

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Tracheostomy support (tube changes, suctioning, manual coughs).
  • Safe hoist transfers
  • Support with breathing valves and oxygen monitoring.
  • PEG feeding, hydration, and catheter care
  • Working closely with healthcare professionals.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated individuals who want to make a difference in someone’s daily life. To be successful in this role, you should have

  • At least 6 months’ previous care experience in the UK (essential).
  • A caring and patient nature, with excellent communication skills.
  • Confidence in safe moving and handling, or willingness to learn.
  • An interest in learning specialist skills such as tracheostomy care, suctioning, PEG feeding, and catheter care (full training provided).
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts across days, nights, and weekends as part of a supportive care team.
